So this is a new blog for me. It's an idea I had been kicking around for a while.
A few years back, inspired by a friend, I began making my own cards. I had always been a creative kid, and at that point, I had lost a means to express myself. I was hungry for some way to tap into my artistic side again, and making these cards was like hundreds of little canvases.
But investing the time and energy to make these cards, with my obsessive personality, was a high task. Now that I have my first full time job, I don't have the time, energy, or focus to keep it up. While I still cherish the ability to personalize my sentiments while providing a venue to creatively express myself, I realize that these will probably be my last cards for a period of time.
So each time I make one of the last 30 cards, I'll post it and give a bit of background on the design process.
I hope I never forget to express myself again, or forget how important it is to look beyond the day-to-day. And I hope that if I stop making cards, I make sure to find other ways to demonstrate how important the people around me are.
